I am tempted to agree with him. I appreciated his scientific works more than his novels, even if “The Name of the Rose” or “”Foucault’s Pendulum” made him far more famous than “Opera aperta”, “A Theory of Semiotics” or “Six Walks in the Fictional Woods”.
